Assessment of combining ability in okra (Abelmoschus esculentus (L.) Moench) was done the current investigation using a line x tester mating design. From 11 female lines and 3 testers, 33 cross combinations were made LxT design, enough F1 seeds produced summer 2021. The planted kharif 2021 to evaluate effectiveness various crosses with three checks. experiment conducted at Breeder Seed Production Unit, VNMKV Parbhani. best male parents found be IC-45800 Parbhani Kranti. general combiner EC-305613, EC-305675, VROR-159 when GCA effect taken into account. To distinguish transgressive segregants from succeeding generations segregating individuals, these can used breeding programmes. EC-305653 IC-45800, EC-305612 Kranti, EC-305741 EC-305652 EC-305664 top five for particular effect. Among thirty-three crosses, nine terms desirable specific high per se performance fruit yield.
